Loughborough Lightning is the number one Netball Super League side in the East Midlands and were crowned NSL champions in 2021.

Loughborough Lightning is the no.1 Netball Super League side in the East Midlands and has been competing in the Netball Super League since its inception eighteen years ago. In the past five seasons Lightning have made it to the final four of each year, including two consecutive Grand Finals, and were crowned Netball Super League Champions for the first time in 2021. Lightning also topped the table in 2017 and were crowned British Fast5 All Stars Champions in both 2017 and 2019.

Loughborough Lightning triumphed over Surrey Storm for a second time in the 2023 Netball Super League season. Round 18 saw both teams work tirelessly on court in a match that proved to be very contesting. This away win for Lightning results in Surrey Storm’s venue not being used as part of the semi-finals.
